David Wynn Jackson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Wynn Jackson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on May 11, 1960, in Albany, Georgia, David was the cherished son of the late Robert C. Jackson Sr. and Edna R. Jackson. He was predeceased by his daughter Catrina Jackson Roberts and dear sisters, Jane D. Stephens, Deborah R. Jackson, and Patricia J. Banks, who now welcome him with open arms. David's journey through life was one marked by hard work, love, and laughter. He graduated from Albany Technical College in 1983, where he honed his skills as a Master Mechanic. With a career spanning over 30 years, he was not only a skilled auto mechanic but also a successful business owner, running his own auto repair shop before retiring. His dedication to his craft and his unwavering work ethic were admired by all who knew him. At the heart of David's life were his children, Bradley and Robert, who continue to carry on his legacy. His pride and joy extended to his three grandchildren, Elena, Bella, and Jessica, and his two great-grandchildren, Finley and Carter. He cherished the moments he spent with them, sharing stories and laughter that will echo in their hearts forever. David is also survived by his loving siblings, Robert Jackson Jr., Linda Johnson, and Ann Griffin, who will continue to honor his memory and celebrate his life. David's kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He was the friend who would make anyone laugh and the first to offer a helping hand when needed. His presence brought warmth and joy to those around him, and he had a unique ability to make everyone feel important. A devoted animal lover, his loyal pet dog was always by his side, providing companionship and comfort. Among the many lives he touched, David shared a special friendship with Pam Barbree, whose memories of their time together are a testament to the deep bonds he formed. In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor David's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that was close to David's heart, based in Jacksonville, FL. As we say goodbye to David, we hold onto the laughter, the kindness, and the love he shared with us all. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
