Mr. Ronald Jack (Buddy) Free, 80, of Cobb, GA died Saturday April 9, 2022 at Willson Hospice House. His memorial service will be held Tuesday 2:00PM at Kimbell-Stern. Dr. Bryan Bentley will be officiating. The family will receive friends Monday (today) from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern. The family has asked that everyone dress in casual attire. Born in Thomas County, Mr. Free was the son of Jack Free and Lucille Hunter Free. He lived in Albany for 29 years where he worked with Frank Wetherbee Farms and Mockingbird Hill Farms. Mr. Free then moved to Lake Blackshear in 1999 where he consulted numerous farm managers. He attended Lakeview Baptist Church in Cobb, GA and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Glenda Hooks Free of Cobb, GA; a son Ron Free and his wife Sabrina of Hawkinsville, GA; Teresa Smith and her husband Robert of Leesburg; grandson Robbie Smith and his significant other Bethanie of Leesburg; three granddaughters Audrey Evans of Marshville, GA; Taylor McCalvin of Warner Robins; Kali McCalvin of Hawkinsville; four great-grandchildren Preston Hardegree, Zander Smith, Jaxon McCalvin, Evans Campbell; Brothers Billy Free and his wife Vicki of Meigs, GA; Donald Free and his wife Judy of Perry, GA; sisters Jo Brasington of Crystal River, FL; Jackie Alday and her husband Larry of Warner Robins and numerous nieces and nephews.
