Beverly Jones Daniels

Beverly Jones Daniels, 83, of Arlington, GA, died Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Oaks at Oakland Plantation in Lee County, GA. Her graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Arlington, GA. Mrs. Daniels was born in Damascus, GA, to the late Rex Wilson Jones and Eva Mae Posey Jones and graduated from Damascus High School in 1959. Shortly after graduating from high school, she married Thomas Daniels, and their only child, a daughter Janet, was born three years later. Being a good wife and mother was her first priority. Mrs. Daniels was a hard worker and devoted employee, first working for and retiring from Georgia Power Company. Following her initial retirement, she worked for Dr. Homer Lassiter in Arlington until Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital bought the practice. She then continued to work for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany until she retired for the second time. Mrs. Daniels was a very active member of Arlington Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and fostering many lifelong friendships. She also loved working in her yard, but her favorite time was spent with her family, where she was an active and engaged great-grandmother to 4 little girls who absolutely adored her. Mrs. Daniels was an avid UGA fan and cheered for the Atlanta Braves. However, she most of all enjoyed cheering on her family in all they did, always letting them know how much they meant to her by her front-row presence and outpouring of love. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Thomas Frank Daniels, and her sister, Eva Porter. Mrs. Daniels is survived by her daughter: Janet Guillebeau and her husband David, Albany; 2 granddaughters: Laura Leigh Stoudenmire and her husband Dr. Charlie Stoudenmire, Albany, and Beverly Inman and her husband, John Inman IV, Albany; 4 great granddaughters: Avery Stoudenmire, Margaret Stoudenmire, Abigail Inman, and Harper Inman, all of Albany; a brother: Jack Jones and his wife Barbara, Birmingham, AL; a sister: Myra Black and her husband Butler, Atlanta, GA; as well as nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
