Stephen H. Fink

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Stephen Howard Fink, who left us peacefully on December 20th, 2025. He was 79 years old. Stephen's funeral service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Kimbrell-Stern with entombment to follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum. Rabbi Dr. Andy Dubin will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Monday from 4:30-6:00 PM. Stpehen was born on July 24, 1946, in New York City to the late Ila and Laurence Fink. He grew up in Albany, GA, and graduated with a BBA Degree in Management from The University of Georgia. Starting a lifelong career in Collection Services in 1983 with the Credit Bureau of Southwest Georgia, he not only established collection divisions in Tifton, Americus, Cordele, and Camilla, he also transformed manual services into first-of-their-kind digital and automated solutions for the collections business. In 2004, Stephen purchased and rebuilt Union Credit Corporation, quickly moving it to profitability through customer-focused relationships. He was the devoted husband of Lorraine Fink. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was a loving, supportive father to his three children: Above all else, Stephen cherished his family. He had a passion for gardening and cooking. His good humor and laughter will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He had a gift for making everyone feel valued and loved, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his wife Lorraine Fink, his 3 children Brian Fink (Allyson Fink), Robyn Fink, and Laura Fink Renner (Gene Renner), his grandchildren, Sawyer Renner, Madelyn Fink, and Larson Renner, and his sister, Beverly Fink Sloat. He is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Max Fink. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stephen’s honor to The Albany Humane Society. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for all the messages of comfort and support they have received. They will receive guests in their house for shiva observance.
