Mr. James Richardson

James Hoyt Richardson, 87, of Albany passed away peacefully on July 4, 2015 at Willson Hospice House. His wishes were to be cremated. He didn’t want any services held because he couldn’t talk to a single person. He was born on August 3, 1927 in Montezuma. Mr. Richardson lived most of his life in Albany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Bernice Richardson in 2006, daughters, Linda Sue Richardson in 1952 and Barbara Ann Richardson Parker in 1995. His family always came first and he was a wonderful father and husband. Mr. Richardson was the owner of James Richardson Logging Company, which he retired from. He also owned other businesses and was a very hard working man all of his life. Mr. Richardson always loved fishing and being outdoors. He loved country cooking, country music, western movies and his Chevy Silverado. Mr. Richardson loved to travel and had visited every state except Hawaii. He even logged in Canada. He had so much wisdom and a great sense of humor all the way until the end. He was a very giving and generous man. He had many good friends. Mr. Richardson is survived by his daughter, Stacey Richardson Roth and her husband Don (which he thought of as a son), grandson, James Don Roth, all of Albany; daughter, Shirley Hicks and her husband Tim of Leesburg; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, he is also survived by his spoiled Jack Russell Terrier “Kenny”. He will be missed more than he could have ever imagined. The world has lost a true southern gentleman.
