Inez T. Boydston Obituary

Inez T. Boydston passed away peacefully at her home on December 03, 2008 after a short illness. We know that she is now free from all of the worries of this earthly life. Our cares are no longer hers. We meet her now only in memory, but we will join her soon enough, when we go home and when we are free as she is now.Her funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate. A reception will be held following burial at home of John Boydston, 1001 N. Madison, #5, in Albany.She was born on April 27, 1927 in St. James Parish (Vacherie), LA. Ms. Boydston attended Gretna High School and graduated in 1944. She married Glynn Mathis Boydston on June 21, 1947.Inez worked at Sears, 25 years with civil service at MCLB Albany, Gayfers now known as Dillards, and Kelly Temp Services. She also volunteered at Neighbors in Need, Phoebe Putney, Palmyra Hospital, and Birthright of Albany.She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelier J. and Alice Gabb Tauzin; her brother, Earl Tauzin; a son, Timothy P. Boydston; and a grandson, Jonathan N. Longo.She leaves to keep her loving memory, her children: Mary C. Thrower and her husband Bob of Bonaire, Elaine DiBenedetto and her husband Savy of Houston, TX, Glynn "Bud" Boydston, II of Eton, Sue A. Dobos and her husband Michael of Perry, John M. Boydston and Nadine A. Boydston both of Albany; grandchildren: CPT. Shaine Thrower and his wife Amy, Kevin M. Thrower, Glynn M. Boydston, III and his wife Ginny, and Danielle M. Makris and her husband Gus; two great-grandchildren: Haylee Jordyn and Reagan Tyler Thrower.The prayer service will be held at 6 PM Friday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with visitation to follow until 8 PM.
