Emilyn Bunch Martin Obituary Mrs. Emilyn Bunch Martin died, Friday, June 09, 2017 at Willson Hospice House. A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Martin on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 5 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Roy Cook and Flynn Bridges will be officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends for visitation from 4-5 PM prior to the service at Kimbrell-Stern. Emilyn grew up in Albany and Meigs, where she met her husband, the late, Tommy Martin. After they married, they lived in serveral towns throughout Georgia and also Richmond, VA. They moved to Albany in 1956 and made Albany their permanent home. Emilyn was a loving, caring, and fun mother and grandmother. She loved playing bridge and cards with many of her friends. She was very active in her church life, first at Sherwood Baptist Church and then Gillionville Baptist Church for the last 20 years. She was known to take several of her friends to church in her van and she loved to help prepare Wednesday Night Suppers. Emilyn was a woman who loved to travel, she was always ready to go on trips with her husband and for the past 10 years she went on many great trips with her daughter, granddaughter, and great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Tommy Martin; her parents, George and Emma Bunch; her siblings, George Bunch, Marie Davis, Martha Fowler, Willie Hayes, and Lee Wylly Bunch; and her son, David Martin. Mrs. Martin is survived by: her daughter, Brenda Wasden (Buster); her grandchildren, Mike Wasden (Pam), Cathy Lynn Lanier (David), and Keith Martin (Susan); her great grandchildren, Mandy Lanier Fagiano (Anthony), Andrew Lanier (Brittany), David Martin, Hunter Wasden, Spenser Martin, Taylor Wasden, Kate Martin, Reid Martin; her great-great grandson Chaz Lanier and several nieces.
