Mrs. Debbie Davis Lowery

Mrs. Debra “Debbie” Davis Lowery, 69, of Macon died April 4, 2025 in Cashiers, NC. A graveside service will be held Wednesday April 9, 2025 2:00PM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul will be officiating. The family will receive friends 1:30PM to 2:00PM and also following the service at Crown Hill Cemetery. Debbie was the daughter of Herman Crawford Davis and Thelma Williams Davis and was raised on the family farm outside of Colquitt, GA. She graduated from Miller County High School before heading off to Florida State University where she obtained a master’s degree in mathematics. She then enrolled at Valdosta State University where she obtained another master’s degree in biology. The University of Georgia’s Pharmacy School was next where she learned the tools necessary for her career, graduating second in her class. Her pharmacy career led her to Palmyra Park Hospital in Albany, Ga. where she spent nearly the entirety of her thirty-year career working with some amazing people that she loved dearly. Debbie and her husband, Bill, shared many wonderful adventures together and were blessed with many wonderful friends and memories through their association with Doublegate County Club in Albany and the Country Club of Sapphire Valley in North Carolina. Debbie was active in the Big Sheepcliff Homeowners Association and very much enjoyed assisting with the famous top of the mountain party for many years. Debbie had one son, Chris, that she loved dearly. Following the death of her husband, Debbie moved to Macon to be near Chris and his family. She made many wonderful friends while in Macon, but most importantly she became known as Nana. She was a wonderful Nana and this may have been her greatest joy in life. Above all, Debbie loved the Lord, she loved her family, and she loved her friends. She was kind, generous, intelligent, reliable, and thoughtful. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Bill Lowery. Survivors include her son, Chris Arnold, and his wife Emily of Macon, GA; two grandchildren, Evalyn and James Arnold, both of Macon; numerous Paternal and Maternal cousins; and members of the extended Arnold and Huckaby families that welcomed her in as family.
