Cynthia F. Sizemore Rigsby October 17, 1957 – October 11, 2015 Cynthia F. Sizemore Rigsby passed away on Sunday morning, October 11, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital following a brief hospital stay. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Kimbrell-Stern. Interment will follow at Floral Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 pm - 8 pm at Kimbrell-Stern. Filled with spunk and love for her family and friends, Cynthia leaves us too early in her precious life, the weekend before her 58th birthday to be with her lord and savior. An amazing wife, mother, daughter, and friend, she was at her best when surrounded by her family and close friends, as they were what she cherished most. She loved all of her family unconditionally, and was a natural caregiver. She cared for her grandmother and her mother-in-law in their last days, making sure they were comfortable, well-cared for, and of course, beautiful with full hair and make-up at all times. And though grown with families of our own, her daughters were still her “baby girls,” and she wanted to take care of us as if we were still 5 years old, bringing us warm homemade chicken soup when we got the slightest cold. In her eyes, we could do no wrong. No doubt, our mother’s unconditional love and protection fueled our successes in life. If she could have, she would have fed the world, always inviting everyone over for Sunday dinner, which was more like a feast – and you HAD to take a “to-go plate” for yourself and anyone who couldn’t make it. And when her grandson arrived, she checked in daily to see what she could do for him – he was her pride and joy. She loved music and dancing, especially with her husband, who she adored. She loved any reason to get dolled up, and could never be found without full make-up, matching nail polish, and jewelry. She never turned down a road trip with a close friend or relative who needed a running buddy – whether it was traveling north for a trip to the VA hospital or traveling south to see a grandbaby, she would ride along and even volunteer to drive no matter the distance. She loved spending time with her mother, sister and brothers and looked forward to weekend gatherings. She never missed a birthday, holiday, or special occasion and always made sure you received your card in the mail, after spending hours on the card aisle to pick out the perfect one for the occasion. She wanted others to know how much she cared for them and that they were always in her thoughts. Well, today, she is in all of our thoughts and prayers, and no card or words can communicate the loss we are feeling as we grieve and celebrate the life of this very special lady. Cynthia leaves behind a loving husband, Harold Rigsby, 2 daughters, Tonia Collins (Justin), Tabathia Baldy (Elton), one grandson, Henry Baldy, her mother, Mary Poole, and 3 siblings Marie Fitz, Richard Cooper, and Ronald Ray Poole. Thank you to her amazing husband, Harold Rigsby, for giving her the moon, taking the best care of her, and mostly for loving her unconditionally. We love you Moma, and will see you again one day, when you host us all again for Sunday dinner.
